Dr. Newton Jibunoh

Dr NewtonDr. Newton Jibunoh is one of Nigeria’s most prominent environmentalists. He is the founder of FADE (Fight Against Desert Encroachment) Africa, and has crossed the sahara desert 3 times, as well as the former Vice-Chairman of Abuja Green Society. Newton Jibunoh is a professional giant in the Construction and Building Industry, having served the industry for over 40 years. Most notably as Chairman / Chief Executive Officer, Costain West Africa Plc .

Dr. Jibunoh is a recipient of numerous awards such as Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Builders, National honor of Officer of the Order of Niger (OON), Ambassador Emeritus for Environment awarded by Lagos State for his outstanding contribution to the greening of Lagos State, Doctor of Science, Honoris Corsa, of Nnamdi Azikwe University and also, University of Benin. He founded the first private museum in Nigeria called DIDI Museum and has authored a number of books and publications.

Chief Keith Richards OBE

Keith RichardsKeith Richards is currently a Non-Executive Chairman at Promasidor Nigeria Ltd. Lagos, and L&Z Farms, Kano State, Nigeria. He is a Director at the Lagos Jazz Series, an initiative that promotes Jazz music in Nigeria, a Director at the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG), a leading private sector think thank established to promote Nigeria’s economic potentials and Director at AfricaPractice R&B a PR and Communications Company. His former roles most notably include Managing Director at Promasidor Nigeria Ltd. and Managing Director at Guinness Nigeria Plc.

Chief Richards is a Fellow of the Lagos State Polytechnic, a Member of the Advisory Board of BusinessDay, daily business newspaper based in Lagos, Nigeria; Council Member and Sectorial Chair Manufacturers Association of Nigeria. He has been conferred with several traditional titles in Nigeria and an OBE from the British government.

Professor Olanrewaju Fagbohun, PhD.

Prof FagbohunProfessor Olanrewaju Fagbohun is with the Nigerian Institute of Advanced Studies and a Director of the Environmental Law Research Institute. He was formerly coordinator of the Environmental Law and Allied Disciplines of the Centre for Environment and Science Education of the Lagos State University; Member, National Work Group for the Streaming-lining of Environmental Laws in Nigeria and Development of Environmental Law and Policy Curriculum for Nigerian Universities; and Member, Expert Group for the Development of Climate Change Policy and Legislation for Nigeria.

Professor Fagbohun has published extensively in local and international journals, and frequently acts as consultant, task leader and advisor to State governments, international development agencies and corporate bodies on issues relating to sustainable development and environmental protection.
