The ERC (Environmental Resource Center) was borne out of the growing concern about the interaction between mankind and the environment; one of the most challenging areas of modern science. This interaction has raised countless issues of concern arising from increased industrialisation and consumerism on a global scale which continue to threaten the sustainability of our natural resources, the health of the environment and indeed posterity of all life forms.

In the search for a sustainable future, environmental specialists and other stakeholders continually tackle the effects of acid rain, air pollution, global warming, greenhouse gases and the loss of habitats among others. The need for a greater understanding of how the environment works as a whole is vital to mankind’s continued existence and survival.

Following wide consultation and analyses, the ERC has been set up in Nigeria to tackle these challenges; bridging the knowledge and competency gap required for governments, individuals, commercial and non-commercial entities to attain and maintain a healthy and sustainable environment. This in turn ensures that these stakeholders not only meet legal requirements, but are also able to sustain their primary activities in a sustainable environment.

Our competencies cover all the identifiable fields and segments in the environmental industry as listed below:

• Environmental Testing & Analytical Services: Provide testing of “environmental samples” and their analytical make-up (soil, water, air and some biological tissues)
• Solid Waste Management, Resource Recovery & Waste Management Equipment: Collection and treatment of residential, commercial and industrial wastewaters, as well as collection, processing and disposal of solid waste
• Remediation & Industrial Services: Clean-up of contaminated sites, buildings and environmental cleaning of operating facilities
• Hazardous Waste Management: Collection, processing and disposal of hazardous, medical waste, nuclear waste etc
• Environmental Instrumentation & Information Systems: Provide equipment, supplies and maintenance in the delivery and treatment
• Environmental Consulting & Engineering: Engineering, consulting, design, assessment, permitting, project management, O&M, monitoring, policy development etc
• Air Pollution Control Equipment: Production of equipment and technology to control air pollution, includes vehicle controls etc.
